BN, MSN, PG Cert Advanced Nursing - Intensive Care

Kirsty completed her nursing training in Dunedin in 1994 and in 2021 she completed her Master of Nursing (clinical) from Massey University and qualified as a Nurse Practitioner.

Nurse Practitioners are trained to assess patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose disease, prescribe medications and formulate treatment plans and refer to speciality services.

Kirsty is passionate about womens and children’s health. She is trained in IUD insertion and removal, pipelle biopsy, ring pessaries and cervical screening. 

She can perform 6-week baby checks and administer the 6-week immunisations in one consult. 

In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit and riding her mountain bike.
